Indie Grand Opening: Sue Me Lacquer

Today I have a brand new indie polish for you, Sue Me Lacquer.  Her polishes are currently available for pre-order, with the grand opening scheduled for January 30th.  The first collection is the Big Boom collection and consists of 4 polishes.

First is Georgia Peach.  This is a beautiful nude peach with a golden shimmer, 2 coats covered perfectly.

Next, Crimson Chin.  A burnt orange creme with full coverage in 2 coats.

Oceanic is a blue jelly, I used three coats for full coverage.

Finally, Into the Forest.  Another jelly, shown at 3 coats.

Overall, I was pretty impressed with Sue Me Lacquers initial line up.  The colors are basic yet unique.  The formula was the same for each, very thick, but still smooth and easy to work with.

You can find Sue Me Lacquer on Etsy and Facebook.

MDJ Creations

Today I have a few polishes from MDJ Creations to show you.  Melissa sent a couple glitters and a jelly for me to try out, and I was pleasantly surprised with each of them.  All three polishes had a nice formula, and the glitters were absolutely packed with glitter.

First up is Entertaining Angels, a sheer green base with all different types of glitter packed inside.  I did two coats over OPI Jade Is the New Black.

Next is Lilies of the Field, a sheer red base, again packed with all different types of glitter.  I did a glitter gradient over China Glaze Ruby Deer, ring finger shows two coats.

Finally is Tropical Getaway.  This is a bright pink sheer jelly with glitter, a bit more sparse than the other two.  I did two coats over OPI Alpine Snow.  The pictures don’t really do it justice, it was much more neon looking in person.

Hot Chick Physics Lacquer Glass Slipper

Today I have a nail polish from Hot Chick Physics for you.  Tonija’s sells nail polish along with accessories.  Her polish line has a wide range of colors and finishes.  Today I have Glass Slipper to show you, a cornflower blue polish packed with holographic glitter.

Glass Slipper had a nice, even formula and I only needed two coats for full coverage.  The holo was hard to capture on camera, but it is stronger in person.

You can find Hot Chick Physics on Etsy and Facebook.

Pahlish Ghost of Christmas Present

One of my Black Friday purchases was from Pahlish, a brand that I’ve been admiring for a while now but had never tried.  I picked up 2 polishes from the winter collection, plus Ghost of Christmas Present.  I didn’t realize it at the time, but after doing some research, it  looks like this one was a Black Friday exclusive, and it is not currently available on the website.

Ghost of Christmas Present is a beautiful plum red jelly with gold and purple/blue flecks.  This is exactly what I would think of as “sugar plum.”  The formula was good and I used 2 coats here plus HK Girl top coat.

Nire’s Desire Winter Wonderland

Today I have another newer indie brand for you, Nire’s Desire.  Erin sent me a few of her polishes to try, and I am so impressed with her brand.  Everything from the labels to the brushes to the polish formula screams quality.

First up is one of her core colors, Angelic Little Devil.  This is an orangey red base with a scattered holo.  The holo is super bright in this one, and the formula is perfect, plus it dries quickly.  This is 2 easy coats with top coat.

The next two polishes are part of her winter collection, and are scheduled to be released today.

Winter Is Coming is a sheer icy blue base packed with different sizes of holo glitter and holo snowflakes!  I used one coat over Nails Inc. Belgrave Place, plus top coat.  I did have to place the snowflake glitters, but they were super easy to fish out of the bottle.

The pictures don’t totally capture how sparkly this one is in person.  It is really beautiful, and over dark blue looks like a winter night sky!

Nire's Desire Winter Is Coming

Winter Wonderland is a blue jelly base full of blue. purple, and silver holo glitter, plus holo snowflakes.  The formula was a bit thicker on this one, but totally worth it!  I did 3 coats, a coat of gelous plus top coat.  Again, I placed the snowflake glitter.
